Feed Enzymes In Poultry For Health & Growth

Enzymes are an essential protein that is very vital for any organ system which involves an anabolic and catabolic route of digestion and metabolism in the body. There are various types of enzymes that are essential to feed. In an environment of high-cost corn, many farmers or producers are choosing substitutes for this which are less nutritive value. These substitutes are wheat, barley, sorghum (low-tannin varieties) that are rich in non-starch polysaccharides and with this there is a negative correlation between the diet content in non-starch polysaccharides and its nutritive value. In order to process these non-starch polysaccharides, enzymatic supplementation is required which can improve the nutritional value of the feed. These supplements are characterized by being a cocktail mixture of the different enzyme with feed. There are various types of enzymes which are used in feed for poultry. Each enzyme has a specific role and function and their results are mind blowing which gives high benefits for the poultry producer. There are some enzymes like Protease, Carbohydrase, Amylase, Xylanase, and Glucanase that are vital for the breakdown of feed and to extract the vital nutrients from the feed.
